Modeling and Analysis of Opinion Dynamics Model Based on the Information Point Mechanism

Against the backdrop of unprecedented changes in the global situation, the ideological struggle between the East and the West has become increasingly intense. However, there is a lack of quantitative model simulation analyses in related research on public opinion warfare. Therefore, constructing a model based on the information point mechanism for opinion propagation and simulating offline group interactions is necessary. This study examines the effects of different numbers of participants, communication frequency, communication modes, and the influence of opinion leaders, exploring ways to effectively break the information echo chamber effect between groups. Simulation results show that, to effectively break the information echo chamber effect, long-term and sustained communication activities are required, along with ensuring communication frequency and participant numbers. Furthermore, under various information categories, the influence of opinion leaders’ viewpoints on the overall group opinion is significant. This suggests that the existing 144-hour visa-free policy and targeted publicity by influential opinion leaders have a significant effect on countering Western ideological attacks, but these strategies have a gradual impact and need to be consistently implemented over time.
