Interface Definition Language and Graphical Programming - Based Approach for Quick Shellcode Generation
Shellcode as a kind of low-level machine code directly executed in memory, plays a crucial role in security defence, vulnerability exploitation, and specialized system programming. Yet conventional Shellcode development suffers from high technical barriers and poor maintainability, creating significant challenges for non-experts and team collaboration. To address these issues, we propose a new approach combining Interface Definition Language (IDL) and graphical programming to create low-code Shellcode based on the universal Shellcode generation technology. Streamlined IDL specifications formally define Shellcode module interfaces and data structures, ensuring cross-module consistency. Additionally, our Blockly-based visual front-end transforms IDL metadata into drag-and-drop code blocks. This allows developers to intuitively construct complex Shellcode chains through logical unit assembly. By integrating interface standardization with low-code interaction, our framework considerably lowers Shellcode development barriers while boosting efficiency and maintainability. Experimental results confirm this approach effectively empowers non-professional developers and enhances team collaboration in Shellcode development.
