A Fuzzy Model Evaluating the Connection between Climate Change and Regional Instability
In recent years, the impacts of climate change and regional instability are the hot spots of public concern. A fuzzy model integrating gray relational analysis (GRA) and fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) was built for the quantitative assessment of the connection between climate change and regional instability. This model has the advantages of systematicness which is more objective than the traditional methods, and is qualified for giving the indicators that evaluates the fragility of states, using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of each indicator, quantifying state fragility through multilayer fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, determining the correlation degree between the various indicators. It is expected that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method discussed in this paper can provide a way to explore the relationship between climate change and state as well as a reference for states to adopt proper measures to mitigate the risk of climate change.
