Study on the Selection of Ports Based on Analytic Hierarchical Process in the Context of Red Sea Crisis

With the development of economy and the increase of international trade volume, water transportation, characterized by its large volume and low freight rates, carries more than 90% of international trade transportation volume. How to ensure the smooth progress of transportation has become a key issue. Red Sea crisis has increased transportation risks in Red Sea areas, not only endangering human life and water environmental safety, but also causing huge economic losses for shipping companies and even disruptions to global supply chains. Therefore, each shipping company is actively adjusting its route to face this crisis. This article selects Maersk AE55 route as the research object, constructs a hierarchical model of route docking port selection based on AHP, uses the 1-9 scale method to establish a judgment matrix, calculate the weights and comes to some conclusions.
