Research on the Operation and Management Mode of the Guizhou Rural Water Supply Guarantee Project

Drinking water safety is crucial to the well-being of hundreds of millions of people, directly impacting their health and quality of life. In recent years, after successfully overcoming poverty, Guizhou province has increasingly prioritized the issue of drinking water safety in rural areas. This shift is aimed at consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation while also contributing to the broader goals of rural revitalization. Ensuring safe drinking water is vital for sustaining rural development and improving living standards. This study uses the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method to evaluate the operation and management of rural water supply projects in Guizhou. By examining the current status of water supply security, it integrates theories of water conservancy project construction. The research develops a comprehensive evaluation index system, where the largest weight is assigned to the operational management aspects, followed by organizational management, quality control, and risk management. The findings suggest that the current operation and management model of rural water supply projects in Guizhou supports sustainable development and effectively utilizes the advantages of water supply security, ensuring long-term benefits for rural communities.
