The Role of Supply Chain Management in Achieving Competitive Advantage: The Moderating Role of Information and Communication Technology

The purpose of this study is to investigate the moderating influence that information and communication technology has on the link between supply chain management (SCM) and competitive advantage (CA) in manufacturing companies located in Jordan. The information requested was adopted by questionnaire and 156 participated from manufacturing companies in Jordan was gathered through the use of a quantitative approach. The hypotheses of the study were examined through the application of hierarchical linear multiple regression analysis, which was carried out with the assistance of SPSS. Based on the findings, it is evident that SCM has a considerable favorable impact on CA. Additionally, intelligence (ICT) in conjunction with after-sales support had a substantial beneficial influence, although suppliers and specifications did not have a major impact for the most part. In addition, the investigators discovered that the link between SCM and CA was not increased by ICT. This study, which is one of the first few studies conducted in Jordan within this sector, contributes to the expanding body of knowledge in the field by providing useful information on the impact that intelligence quotient (ICT) has on the linkage between SCM and CA.
