Thực trạng về tư duy mở chủ động của nhân viên trong doanh nghiệp nhỏ và vừa trên địa bàn thành phố Hà Nội
In the context of increasing innovation demands faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam, actively open-minded thinking (AOT) has emerged as a critical cognitive capacity that fosters learning, adaptability, and innovation within organizations. This study aims to assess the current state of AOT among employees working in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hanoi. A survey of 269 employees was conducted using a 13-item scale adapted from the AOT scale developed by Stanovich and Toplak (2023). Results show that the average AOT score among respondents was 2,91, indicating a moderate level of open-minded thinking. One-way ANOVA analysis revealed no statistically significant differences across demographic groups; however, higher AOT levels were observed among female employees, those with postgraduate education, and individuals with 6–10 years of work experience. Based on these findings, the study proposes four strategic solutions to enhance AOT in SMEs: (1) fostering reflective thinking through structured training programs; (2) cultivating a psychologically safe organizational environment; (3) establishing feedback mechanisms that support learning from failure; and (4) leveraging leadership role modeling to promote open thinking. This research provides practical implications for developing innovation-oriented human resources in Vietnam’s SME sector. Keywords: Actively open-minded thinking, small and medium-sized enterprises, employee, Hanoi.
