Nonequilibrium Self‐Assembly of Microtubules Through Stepwise Sequential Interactions of DNA (Small 26/2025)

Self-Assembly The art illustrates the transfer of DNA-mediated information between microtubules (MTs) to initiate assembly formation. A green, DNA-modified MT is portrayed as being locked by a chain, which is subsequently unlocked or activated through interaction with a blue, DNA-modified MT. Here, DNA serves as a “physical key” that facilitates the activation of the green DNA-modified MT. The blue DNA-modified MT symbolizes the carrier of information. Upon unlocking, the chain is removed, allowing the green MT to bind with the red MT, thereby completing the assembly process. In article number 2408364, Akinori Kuzuya, Akira Kakugo, and co-workers.
