CURRENT ISSUES IN THE HISTORY OF KYRGYZ STATEHOOD

The issue of Kyrgyz statehood is one of the most complex and serious problems of modern historical science. There is still no one-sided scientific opinion about when the Kyrgyz people independently built a state, pursued an independent policy and became a subject of international relations. In this regard, some scientists suggest that the period of the founding of Kyrgyz statehood dates back to the time of the political union in the Yenisei region of the Minusinskiy Valley, and some scientists have focused their attention on the time of the “Kyrgyz Great Power”, defined by the Soviet scientist V. Bartold. On the other hand, some historians believe that Kyrgyz statehood was formed during the Soviet period. Therefore, the article states that when studying the history of Kyrgyz statehood, it is necessary to explore the history of the Kyrgyz people through an objective study of real historical facts and events experienced by ancestors, and not opinions, thoughts, and speculative analyses on important issues.
