Beneficios de la modificación de las reglas en la enseñanza del deporte base: una revisión sistemática

The adaptation of rules to the characteristics of young athletes is a key factor in the teaching-learning process. The objectives of the present study were: 1. To carry out a systematic review on the impact of rule modifications on grassroots sport; 2. To analyse and describe the research included in the review. To this end, a search was carried out in the Web of Science, Scopus and SPORTDiscus databases, following the guidelines of the PRISMA Declaration. A total of 8 studies were selected that met the eligibility criteria. The results showed that modifying rules, such as reducing the size of the court, the number of players or the height of sports equipment (for example, the basketball hoop), favours the development of technical-tactical skills in a progressive way. Likewise, an increase in the perception of competence and enjoyment during sports practice was observed. However, some studies highlight that the perception of coaches and families regarding these modifications is not always favourable, which could hinder their implementation. As a main practical application, this systematic review could guide coaches, teachers and sports federations, with the aim of offering a better experience through the adaptation of rules in the grassroots sport.
