Background and Purpose This study aims to comprehensively analyse strategies for enhancing fan engagement and the overall spectator experience during cricket matches. The focus is on various aspects such as technology utilization, promotional efforts, stadium facilities, and fan feedback, with the ultimate goal of providing actionable insights for cricket stakeholders. Materials and Methods The research involved 44 passionate cricket enthusiasts associated with SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Tamil Nadu, India, who attended Indian Premier League matches during the 2023 season. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, interviews, and social media monitoring. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS software to identify significant correlations and patterns in the data. Results The findings reveal significant insights into the world of cricket spectatorship. There is a strong positive correlation between fan engagement and the overall spectator experience, emphasizing the pivotal role of engaged fans in creating memorable experiences. Mobile apps and social media platforms emerged as crucial tools for fan engagement, with daily app usage positively correlating with fan engagement. Promotional campaigns and sponsorships were found to influence fan behaviour, while stadium amenities and infrastructure significantly influenced fan satisfaction. Fan feedback, highlighted by high satisfaction ratings and predominantly positive sentiment in social media discussions, emerged as a critical resource for understanding fan preferences. Conclusions This study underscores the multifaceted nature of cricket spectatorship, highlighting the interplay between technology, marketing efforts, stadium facilities, and fan engagement. The insights provide actionable recommendations for cricket stakeholders, including leveraging digital platforms, tailoring marketing strategies, improving stadium amenities, and valuing fan input. By implementing these recommendations, cricket organizations and venues can foster stronger connections with their fan base, contributing to the continued growth and success of cricket as both a sport and an entertainment spectacle.
