Effect of plant growth regulators on growth and yield of okra [Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench]
A field experiment entitled “Effect of plant growth regulators on growth and yield of okra [Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench]” was conducted during Kharif, 2023 at Instructional Farm, School of Agricultural Sciences, Dabok, Udaipur. The experiment comprised of ten treatments viz.,T1 (Control), T2 (NAA100ppm), T3 (NAA 150 ppm), T4 (NAA 200ppm), T5 (IAA 30ppm), T6 (IAA60ppm),T7 (IAA90ppm),T8 (GA3 100 ppm), T9 (GA3 150 ppm) and T10 (GA3 200 ppm) replicated thrice in Randomized Block Design. Okra variety Kashi Vardaan was used as test crop.As perthe data obtained from this investigation maximum value of growth attributes viz., plant height (136.04 cm), number of branches plant-1 (3.95) maximum days to first harvest (46.61 days), yield attributes viz., number of fruits plant-1 (24.89) fruit yield plant-1 (237.56 g), fruit yield plot-1 (5.36 kg) and fruit yield ha-1(148.98 q), were obtained under T9(GA3 150 ppm).
