Effect of FYM, vermicompost and Panchagavya on yield and quality of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var botrytis L.)
A field experiment on effect of FYM, vermicompost and Panchagavya on yield and quality of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea (L.) var botrytis)” was conducted during Rabi, 2023-24 at Instructional Farm, School of Agricultural Sciences, Dabok, Udaipur. The experiment comprised of nine treatments using FYM, vermicompost and Panchgavya either alone or in combinations which were replicated thrice in Randomized Block Design. T1- Control, T2 - 100 % RDN through Farm Yard Manure (FYM),T3 -100 % RDN through vermicompost (VC), T4-50% RDN through FYM, T5- 50% RDN through VC,T6- 50% RDN through FYM + 50% RDN through VC,T7- 50% RDN through FYM + 10% Panchgavya spray at 30 and 45 DAT T8- 50% RDN through VC + 10% Panchgavya spray at 30 and 45 DAT and T9- 50% RDN through FYM + 50% RDN through VC + 10% Panchgavya spray at 30 and 45 DAT. Cauliflower variety Pusa Deepali was used as a test crop. It was found that maximum value of growth, yield and quality parameters viz., plant height (30.67 cm and 44.92 cm at 30 and 60 DAT), polar diameter of curd (12.32 cm) and equatorial diameter of curd (13.12 cm) yield plot-1 (13.01 kg), yield hectare-1 (321.31 q ha-1) Further it was noted that maximum values of quality parameters viz., TSS (5.99 0Brix) and chlorophyll content in leaf (47.41 mg 100 g-1) were recorded in T9 (50% RDN through FYM + 50% RDN through VC + 10% Panchgavya spray at 30 and 45 DAT).
