Implementation of Tecnomatix Plant Simulation for assembly lines supply
Simulations play a vital role in today's world, especially for processes in large enterprises such as car assembly in the automotive industry. A model has been created that imitates the behavior of a real car assembly line. To make the model, a simulation software called Tecnomatix Plant Simulation was used, blocks from a library were used, and the model's behavior was also programmed. Based on the two simulations, Experiment 2 showed better results than Experiment 1, visible from the higher values reached in the simulation. Changes in the timing of material transport using AGVs had a good effect on the simulation outcomes. In Experiment 2, there was an increase in the working time of the assembly stations and a decrease in waiting and blocking times, which indicates an improvement in their efficiency. A comparison of the working portion of AGVs between the two experiments showed that Experiment 2 had better results. AGVs in Experiment 2 completed more orders per day in comparison to Experiment 1.
