Research on Stability Margin Optimization of Offshore Wind-Solar-Storage Power Delivery System via Flexible DC Transmission
With the increasing integration of renewable energy such as wind power and solar power into current power grids, the stability of hybrid power generation systems has become a critical challenge due to complex interactions and reduced grid inertia. This paper addresses the broadband oscillation instability in offshore wind-solar-storage power delivery systems via flexible HVDC transmission by proposing an impedance-based optimization method. The study establishes impedance models for wind turbines, photovoltaic inverters, energy storage converters and HVDCs, then employs particle swarm optimization (PSO) to maximize the system’s stability margin through optimal unit configuration. Experimental results demonstrate a significant improvement in stability, validating the effectiveness of the proposed approach for enhancing grid resilience.
