Statistical Characteristics of the Urban Bus Driving Cycle: Measurement and Analysis

The operations of public transport on urban roads is characterized by certain patterns and cyclicity. In the present paper the statistical analysis of bus transportation movement in Velikiy Novgorod city based on the results of telemetric measurements is performed. The analysis of distribution characteristics of parameters of the main cycle of movement and distribution of values of movement speed is presented. Statistically significant conclusions are drawn about the possibilities of increasing the efficiency of recuperation for electric buses in urban areas.
