THE ROLE AND PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF GREEN ECONOMY IN AGRICULTURE IN ISSYK-KUL REGION

This article discusses the basic concepts and concepts of “Green Economy”, as well as its necessity in agriculture in Issyk-Kul region. The concept of “green economy” is defined as an economy that contributes to improving human welfare and significantly reducing environmental risks, ensuring social justice, preserving and multiplying natural capital, effectively utilizing resources and contributing to the preservation of natural ecosystems of the country. It is discussed that the green economy aim to increase income and employment by reducing carbon emissions and pollution, creating affordable green jobs for women and men, creating a favorable environment for life and health, and improving the efficiency of energy, resource use, and ecosystem services. A brief characterization of agriculture in Issyk-Kul oblast is given and an analysis is made of the products grown. Some problems of agriculture under conditions of “Green Economy” are revealed and ways of solving these problems are indicated.
