This document presents the results of a study carried out by the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (Ecuador), Universidad Internacional del Ecuador, and Universidad Israel del Ecuador in order to understand the practices that contribute to an ethical business culture in organizations. The objectives of this study aim to find out the degree of promotion of an ethical culture in business management, the contribution of ethical practices in decision-making, and the correlation between ethical problems depending on the area and type of company. The article is part of a quantitative descriptive analysis of a sample of 100 companies in Ecuador, which were asked to respond to a questionnaire designed to collect data in the aforementioned fields. The companies belong to the public sector as well as the private sector in Ecuador. The results show the willingness to manage an ethical business culture in the issues raised, and the conclusions that are drawn are focused on the need for due diligence in its achievement.
