Palladium/copper-catalyzed 1,2-arylboration of styrenes with b2pin2 and indoles
Boryldifunctionalization of alkenes has emerged as a valuable synthetic tool for constructing complex organoboron compounds. While significant advances have been achieved in carboboration reactions with B 2 pin 2 and organohalides, the boryldifunctionalization of simple alkenes with nucleophiles remains relatively underdeveloped. Herein, we report a novel approach for 1,2-arylboration of styrenes using a palladium/copper catalytic system. This protocol enables a three-component coupling of readily available styrenes, B 2 pin 2 , and structurally diverse indoles through C – H functionalization, delivering 2-boryl-1,1-diarylalkanes in moderate to good yields. We report a palladium/copper-catalyzed three-component boryldifunctionalization reaction that employs readily available styrenes, B 2 pin 2 , and structurally diverse indoles as the substrates, delivering various 2-boryl-1,1-diarylalkanes in moderate to good yields.
