Evaluating Performance and Agreement of Coronary Heart Disease Polygenic Risk Scores
(Abstracted from JAMA 2025;333(1):60–70 Prevention and treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD) are complex, and one tool that has been suggested to improve these is the application of polygenic risk scores (PRSs); PRSs essentially combine different elements of genetic risk to estimate the risk for a particular individual. PRSs can be applied in several ways, whether assisting in early identification of those at increased risk for CHD or used combined with other clinical variables as part of a risk model; they represent methods of precision cardiovascular medicine.
