Routine 36-Week Scan: Prediction of Small-for-Gestational-Age Neonate
(Abstracted from Ultrasound Obstet Gynecol 2025;65(1):20–29 Being small for gestational age (SGA) at birth can increase the risk of perinatal morbidity and mortality; these risks can be reduced, however, if the condition is identified during pregnancy. Traditionally, SGA is identified through measurement of symphysis-fundus height and abdominal palpation, although these methods have proven to be less than ideal when it comes to accuracy.
