How to fight against cancer in the amazon: ideas and perspectives from the oncology 2025
The Amazon region is recognised as the area that most urgently requires preservation to mitigate the global impact of climate change.1 Nevertheless, measures to improve the world's quality of life by addressing environmental preservation in the Amazon are frequently dissociated from the healthcare of the people living in these environments. Between May 23 and 25, 2025, amidst the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-30)2 to be hosted in the same city, the Federal University of Belém hosted the Oncology 2025,3 an international cancer meeting that takes place in Belém every two years.
