DNA Steganography to Enhance Security in Banking Sector
ABSTRACT The growing number of bank account holders has increased the time spent on banking servers, making data protection a challenging task for academics and algorithm developers. This research proposes a revolutionary DNA Computing‐based steganography approach to enhance the security of bank server data. In this study, we have proposed a new data‐hiding technique that implants secrets in a DNA sequence using injection rules and the exclusive OR (XOR) operation. The scheme first encrypts the secret message and then conceals a chunk of four cipher bits in each nucleotide. It maintains the size of the stego DNA sequence equal to that of the cover, even while providing a high payload. The encryption process and correlation of injecting rules in data implantation enhance the security of implanted data. The calculated cracking probability for the system is quite low. In addition, the suggested technique effectively prevents man‐in‐the‐middle assaults, brute force attacks, known plaintext attacks, and replay attacks. The parity‐bit‐check strategy surely boosts the scheme's resilience, making it suitable for the banking system. Furthermore, the approach may handle any sort of secret message, including text, picture, and binary. Experimental studies provide considerable support for these ideas.
