Research and Analysis of Energy Consumption Quota for Jiangsu Electric Power Office Building of State Grid

Energy conservation in the building sector is one of the critical approaches to mitigating the global energy crisis and achieving the “Dual Carbon” targets. This study focuses on 126 office buildings of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power, analyzing their 2024 energy consumption data and screening 80 valid right-skewed samples. Given the limitations of traditional quota-level methods in processing right-skewed data, this paper proposes a logarithmic quota-level method to calculate energy consumption quotas, supplemented by a comparative analysis using the secondary average method. Additionally, a calculation approach for sub-item energy quotas in buildings is presented. The findings indicate that the logarithmic quota-level method yields results with an error margin below 5%, demonstrating superior applicability for such datasets. The study determines the constraint value of energy consumption quota for the office buildings in this system to be 399.07 kWh/(m2·a) and the leading value to be 109.71 kWh/(m2·a). The derived sub-item energy quotas also hold significant reference value, providing a scientific basis for energy management in State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power's office buildings.
