An Algorithm for Suppressing Boundary Cutting Ringing Based on Interpolation
In order to improve the quality of blurred image restoration and ensure the efficiency of image information transmission, according to the analysis results that the loss of adjacent pixels in the edge region of the blurred image is the cause of boundary cutting ringing, an algorithm for suppressing ringing effect is proposed, which takes re-blurred processing, compensating the pixels in the outer boundary region, and interpolation smoothing as the core links. The design of compensating pixels around the blurred image limits the influence of ringing on the central area of the image to a certain extent, which is more in line with the actual needs of people to observe the image. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively suppress the ringing effect and improve the quality of image restoration. When the image motion distance is large, the ringing suppression effect of the proposed algorithm is better than Neuman algorithm.
