Speed Control of AC Motor Using Touch Screen With Over Heat Protection

This paper "Speed Control of AC Motors Using Touch Screen with Overheat Protection" aims to develop a comprehensive system for controlling the speed of AC motors through a user-friendly touch screen interface while implementing robust overheat protection mechanisms. AC motors find widespread applications in various industrial and domestic settings, and efficient control of their speed is crucial for optimizing performance and energy consumption. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a system that integrates a touch screen interface for intuitive user interaction with an AC motor speed control system. The touch screen interface allows users to adjust motor speed dynamically, providing flexibility and convenience in operation. Additionally, the system incorporates advanced overheat protection mechanisms to safeguard the motor from thermal damage during prolonged operation or under adverse conditions. The hardware components of the system include an AC motor, motor driver or controller touch screen display, temperature sensors, microcontroller or PLC, and associated circuitry. The software aspect involves developing control algorithms for regulating motor speed based on user input from the touch screen interface and monitoring temperature levels to trigger overheat protection measures in this paper. In this testing and validation were conducted to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the system performance metrics such as speed control accuracy, response time, and thermal management. This have been evaluated under various operating conditions. This paper outcomes is demonstrate the successful implementation of a versatile and robust system for speed control of AC motors using a touch screen interface with integrated overheat protection. Overall, this study contributes to the advancement of motor control technology and demonstrates the potential for integrating modern user interfaces and protective mechanisms into industrial and consumer electronics systems.
