Enhancing Healthcare Monitoring Through a Fully Integrated Radar Digital Twin
Radar-based healthcare monitoring systems often rely on extensive trial-and-error, limiting scalability and efficiency. This work presents a digital twin framework, implemented using Ansys Perceive EM, that virtually replicates complete radar setups, including antennas, circuit designs, and subject motion, reducing the need for real-world experimentation and lowering computational costs. The framework was validated using single-sphere models for fundamental radar interactions and extended to human models to analyze Micro-Doppler effects. A key aspect of this study involves the varying bandwidth of the radar to assess its impact on resolution and motion clarity when multiple individuals move simultaneously.
