Poster: Analyzing the Impact of DCC on CACC by Application and MAC Layer Co-Simulation
This study proposes a co-simulation framework consisting of VISSIM (for traffic behavior simulation) and WiLabV2Xsim (for C-V2X MAC layer simulation). Using this framework, we analyze the impact of the Distributed Congestion Control (DCC) at the MAC layer on the performance of Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control (CACC) services. Simulation results show that applying DCC in congested traffic environments improves the Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), and enhances the responsiveness of trailing vehicles, thereby potentially improving the performance of CACC services. These findings suggest that the proposed co-simulation framework can be effectively utilized to develop and optimize MAC layer technologies from the perspective of the end-service performance of connected vehicles.
