Augmented EFIE with Static Extraction

The electric field integral equation (EFIE) and the augmented EFIE (AEFIE) provide convenient formulations for modeling radiation and scattering from perfect electrical conductors. These formulations have certain limitations, which have motivated various remedies to extend their utility. This paper reports on a modified AEFIE formulation obtained by extracting static behaviors and incorporating diagonal scaling for multiscale geometries.

Abstract

The electric field integral equation (EFIE) and the augmented EFIE (AEFIE) provide convenient formulations for modeling radiation and scattering from perfect electrical conductors. These formulations have certain limitations, which have motivated various remedies to extend their utility. This paper reports on a modified AEFIE formulation obtained by extracting static behaviors and incorporating diagonal scaling for multiscale geometries.
