A Novel Traffic Mapping Algorithm Based on Service Distribution and Dynamic Satellite-Terrestrial Topology
In this paper, we present a novel traffic mapping mechanism as a method for measuring and evaluating satellite-terrestrial networks, specifically designed to address the routing storm issues caused by frequent feeder link handovers. By establishing traffic proxies and optimizing traffic mapping strategies, the proposed mechanism effectively mitigates the routing instability caused by feeder link handovers, thereby enhancing overall network performance and stability. Using real-world aviation data and relevant protocols, this paper details the system model and the design of the traffic mapping mechanism. Simulation results show that, compared to traditional traffic injection schemes, the proposed solution offers significant performance advantages in terms of CPU utilization and satellite-terrestrial handover frequency, particularly as the scale of the constellation or terminals increases. This approach provides an effective solution for measuring and evaluating the performance of large-scale satellite-terrestrial networks.
