Radiation Enhancement of Electromagnetic Waves in Subwavelength Plasma Structures
This study explores how subwavelength plasma structures affect the characteristics of electromagnetic radiation. A hemispherical subwavelength plasma-based artificial dielectric material is designed to cover a monopole antenna, enabling an analysis of wave-structure interactions and the resulting radiation enhancement effects. Both numerical simulations and experimental results demonstrate that subwavelength plasma media can significantly improve antenna radiation efficiency and address the inherent limitations of electrically small antennas. The findings offer novel insights and technical support for enhancing antenna performance and advancing the application of compact, high-efficiency radiating antennas.
