Seismic Analysis of a G+9 Multi-Story Building Comparative Study Using Linear Static and Response Spectrum Methods

Plotting curves between the movements of a given earthquake with respect to time constitutes a reaction spectrum. It may also be used to create lateral stresses caused by earthquakes in buildings. It contributes to the development of earthquake resistance. According to structural analysis, a structure's specific dimensions, form, and composition are provided. Easily executing a construction with appropriate strength is beneficial. In this project, the multi-story building with G+9 is analyzed and studied in comparison. This building has a residence or hotel on the higher stories, and a stilt parking spot on the main floor. To do a comparison analysis between the response spectrum and linear loading conditions and the behavior of multi-story structures, including max displacement shear, drift, overturning, and story shear. We are working on this project in a variety of disciplines, including design, analysis, planning, and reinforcing details. Initially, we created an AutoCAD layout and began gathering raw data. Following that, a property and load case was assigned to this file upon import into Staad Pro, which was subsequently imported into Etab. After that, Etab was used to complete all of the analysis. The goal of this project is to design and study a multistory, G+9 structure as an earthquake-resistant structure in accordance with several I.S. norms. The research examines multi-story structures beneath earthquake-resistant structures. Create a beam, column, and frame structural design. Several software applications, including autocad, Staad Pro, and Etab Software, were utilized in this project.
