Reconceptualizing Smart Home Automation: Enforcing Secure and User-Friendly Communication for Delegating General Access
The research focuses on the interaction of home automation with safe and convenient communication-based authorization methods. With more and more Internet of Things entering the homes, there needs to be security measures in place to protect users data and privacy. The existing smart home systems have been previously designed using authorization layers that still have limitations in their security and user-friendliness. The objectives of the study lie in designing an original communication-based authorisation framework for smart homes that at the same time ensures significant security as well as convenience and ease of use. The system described in this proposal incorporates the latest methods of cryptographic science and comfortable, easy-to-implement methods of authentication to conform to the requirements of homeowners and at the same time to guarantee protection from unauthorized access. Specific goals include proposing and prototyping a basic structure, conducting empirical experiments and assess the security and usability of proposed system analyzing the results and comparing them with previous authorization methods. The research in this research enhances the state of knowledge in the smart home security by providing a detailed examination of the issues and approaches to address those issues in the area, the communication-based authorization. Finally, this study seeks to present a proposal on socio-technical reviews and guidelines for the improvement of smart home automation systems that is in line with the calls for safer and more accessible smart living spaces.
