Cechy stylistyczne współczesnych kazań wygłoszonych w polskich kościołach pentekostalnych
The article aims to present the ways in which some of the features of Catholic religious discourse are manifested in contemporary Polish Pentecostal sermons. The following features can be observed: formulaic speech, conventionality, and cliché expressions (i.e., using phrasemes, phatic formulae such as “Amen” in a dialogue with the preacher, and exclamations), the existence of a certain constant composition framework (as a form of standardization), colloquial, biblical and high style, elaborate figurativeness, dialogic practices, which have taken the form of persuasiveness (specific grammar forms, scenario speech – repeating formulae after the preacher and entering into a staged conversation with him, specific phatic forms such as mentioning the names of the people present at the service), and professionalism.
