REALIZACIJA ČASA PRIMENOM STE(PA)M KONCEPTA – IDENTIFIKOVANJE I KORIGOVANJE POGREŠNIH UVERENJA UČENIKA

The paper presents an example of the application of the STEPAM concept in the teaching of Nature and Society, which aimed to correct students’ misconceptions regarding the content of electricity and electric current. The paper is based on the assumption that a significant number of fourth grade students have misconceptions about the occurrence of electricity, electrification, electrical circuits, and electric current. In this context, a lesson plan was designed that integrates different disciplines of the STEPAM concept so that, through active learning and problem-solving, students can correct their misconceptions. The interdisciplinary approach allows students to develop scientific concepts in a dynamic, interesting, and age-appropriate manner through practical work and a combination of elementary technological, engineering, artistic skills, and physical activities. The paper contains a proposal for a lesson plan structure designed to enable the application of STEPAM activities in everyday teaching, with a special emphasis on the adoption of scientifically based content and the possibility of correcting students’ misconceptions.
