Transforming the learning vector in the context of the educational needs of Generation Z: studying Russian as a foreign language in a digitalized environment

The aim of this article is to justify the advisability of considering the cognitive and behavioral characteristics of Generation Z in the practice of teaching Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) to university students. Particular attention is paid to modern forms of interaction, such as the use of digital platforms and interactive technologies, which can be applied to more effectively engage students of this generation in the learning process. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the linguodidactic justification for the introduction and use of modern teaching methods in RFL classes, specifically oriented towards the needs and interests of Generation Z, as a factor in the effective development and improvement of students' communicative competence. As a result, the methodological necessity of integrating the latest technologies into traditional forms of teaching is substantiated, contributing to a comprehensive approach to teaching Russian as a foreign language, which will not only improve language proficiency but also build confidence in using the language in real-life situations among Generation Z students.
