KLIMATSKI FINTECH: INTEGRACIJA FINANSIJA I DIGITALNIH TEHNOLOGIJA U BORBI PROTIV KLIMATSKIH PROMENA

Climate change is a global challenge with serious environmental, economic and social consequences. Climate fintech, which combines financial services and digital innovation, plays a key role in mobilizing capital to combat climate change. This sector includes green digital banks, sustainable investment platforms, carbon markets, climate risk insurance, and blockchain solutions for ESG data transparency. Digital platforms enable access to sustainable investments, facilitate the trading of green bonds and optimize the financing of renewable energy sources. Climate risk analytics are becoming increasingly important as fintech tools use artificial intelligence and big data to assess the physical and transition risks of climate change. The aim of this paper is to analyze the importance and potential of the application of climate fintech solutions in the transition of companies and economies towards sustainable development and the fight against climate change on the one hand, and the challenges and risks that these solutions carry for market participants. The importance of the research is reflected in the conclusion that the effectiveness of the implementation of climate fintech solutions should be critically analyzed considering a number of issues, such as their actual impact on the climate, the security of user data or the fulfillment of increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.
