GIFTED FOSTER CARE PUPIL IS A CHALLENGE FOR A TEACHER
<ns3:p>Abilities are primarily conditioned by personal and environmental factors. In the case of gifted pupils of foster environments, an important role is played by appropriate cooperation between educational institutions and foster environments, including the work of the teacher - foster parent/carer - educator. So, it is worth answering the following questions: How is the foster environment collaboration with the school environment shaped in regard to supporting pupils’ abilities? Do gifted pupils face any difficulties in the school environment, and what types of difficulties do they face? Answers were sought in analyses of 27 cases of gifted pupils in foster care residing in institutional care and family care. The research showed a number of difficulties in cooperation between foster environments (especially institutional ones) with educational institutions, as well as brought to light selected problems related to the functioning of a gifted foster care pupil in the educational space.</ns3:p>
