The author of the article believes that this change should be taken into account in the process of art education, which should be supplemented with elements related to knowledge about the past and the achievements of contemporary photography. A supporting institution in this regard could be a photography gallery, which would have a diverse exhibition program and allow students to have contact with original works. An example was the activities of the pf Photography Gallery from Poznań, whose achievements from 1993-2004 were indicated – due to their diversity and cognitive values – as a source of inspiration for contemporary institutions and educators.</ns3:p>
