YOUNG POLES OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY – WHO THERE ARE AND WHAT THERE ARE PLANNING. ANALYSIS OF THE TEST RESULTS
<ns3:p>Recognizing the dynamic of contemporary migrations and their impact on state security, as well as the need for scientific analysis of young people who were often born in the country to which their parents emigrated or emigrated to it early in their lives, young Poles living in Ireland were subjected to research. Therefore, the aim of the article is to characterize young Poles living outside our country using the example of Ireland and to diagnose the activities planned by teenagers in the public sphere. Empirical research was carried out among 104 students from 13 Polish weekend schools in Ireland, thanks to which preliminary tendencies of the examined processes were determined. Research shows that almost all respondents have been living in Ireland for 10 years or more. They come mainly from single-parent families with more than 2 children, and more than half of their parents have higher education. The activity planned by teenagers in the public sphere is mainly related to the economic aspect of THEIR functioning. Social relationships and professional development are important to them. Moreover, more than half of young people plan to have children.</ns3:p>
