On measures taken by the international community to regulate the sphere of official export support
The establishment of the WTO in 1994 gave a new impetus to the process of globalization and the development of global economic relations. While essentially a positive process, globalisation has pushed competition in the global market for goods and services to unsustainable levels, forcing national governments to take a fresh look at the issue of export support involving state participation. This resulted in development of state export support institutions and tools across countries. State support activities have become prolific forcing the global expert community to directly address the issue of harmonizing principles and conditions of export support. The article presented here to the reader attempts to trace the evolution of approaches by the global expert community on the issue of state export support over the past several decades.
