THE POSSIBILITY OF TRANSPORT CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN GERMANY AND CHINA VIA RUSSIA

The US uses pressure on China and Russia as the main obstacles to its hegemony and on Germany as an economic competitor. Involving Germany in the economic war against China and Russia could destroy its economy. At the same time, there are natural preconditions for a rapprochement between the main power centers in Eurasia, which would mean greater political and economic independence—if their diplomacy is up to the task. Russia can offer its own transport infrastructure, which largely aligns with China’s Belt and Road project. The combination of railways, the Northern Sea Route, and Russian airspace could quickly and safely handle cargoes of over 330 million tons, covering most of the trade within a “Germany-Russia-China” economic axis. New industrial production chains, built along the railway lines, could reduce logistics costs. The realization of such a project requires investment but, above all, political will.
