A STUDY ON THE TEACHING DESIGN MODEL OF CHINESE CULTURAL COURSES IN SHORT-TERM SUMMER CAMPS IN CHINA: A CASE STUDY OF THE ROMANIAN SUMMER CHINESE EXPERIENCE CAMP
An increasing number of students are coming to China to learn the language and experience the culture through short-term study abroad programs. Among them, China University of Political Science and Law, in collaboration with the University of Bucharest, has launched a summer camp, establishing a bridge for cultural exchange between China and Romania. In the four-week Chinese summer camp curriculum, in addition to intensive reading and speaking courses, Chinese cultural courses are offered, primarily designed to foster the experience and appreciation of Chinese culture. This research takes the 2024 Romanian Summer Chinese Experience Camp as a case study to analyze the teaching objectives and design characteristics of Chinese cultural courses in summer camps in China. It summarizes the mechanisms of mutual constraints, connections, and influences between teaching principles, content, and methods, aiming to provide references and insights for similar programs.
