Innovative Behaviour in The Workplace: The Role of Learning Organisation Culture and Expectations On Attitude Toward Change
The research aims to test and verify the complex association between learning organisation culture (LOC), attitudes toward change (ATC) and innovative work behaviour (IWB), which lacks solid contributions to the organisational development discipline. The variables' complete relationships were estimated using professors serving in higher education institutions (HEIs) as the study respondents. The required sample is 457, and thus, self-administered questionnaires were sent to the official email addresses of the respondents using Google survey form. The final received and usable responses total 366, with a response rate of 80.08%.The direct and indirect effects of the selected variables were analysed using standard partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM).Based on the empirical results, academics with the rank of professors, chiefly the think tanks for HEIs, responded that LOC and ATC are significant in inducing IWB.Besides, the ATC can play an essential role in mediating the interaction of LOC and IWB, even though the mediation effect is partial. The model derived through PLS is unique since it contains different relevant constructs consolidated and tested for associations for the first time. The models referred to achieve this study's aims help prepare future research direction. The findings further support the theories' robustness and the measurement tools used to quantify the research.Implications for HEIs and relevant industries and future research prospects are emphasised based on the empirical shreds of evidence.
