Pseudocapacitance-based charge increase in MoS2/C
The electrochemical behavior of MoS2/C composite in aqueous electrolytes was investigated using a three-electrode electrochemical cell. It was established that the studied system demonstrates the reversibility of redox processes, indicating the pseudocapacitance that makes this system functional. It was found that among the electrolytes used (KCl, RbCl, Li2SO4, Na2SO4, KOH), the aqueous KOH solution provides the largest contribution to the specific capacitance of the electrochemical device. The manifestations of pseudocapacitance (depending on the accumulated charge and the potential value) were analyzed from a thermodynamic point of view.
