Citoyens or Customers and Consumers? Aspects of the power struggle for digital domains of influence, control options and modes of regulation: Criticism and Rejection of the EU's AI-Act

The 2024 AI Act and its associated regulatory package serve the EU's oligarchization progression. It contains an ambitious set of political instruments to calibrate multi-mediated, multilingual media communication control, restrictive implants and censorship mechanisms, for which the EU has no authentic-original regulatory competence in terms of communication theory by recognizing the failure of the European Constitution. In addition, the regulatory package is partly based on ideologically motivated abstracts or coinages such as “disinformation”, “fake news”, “deepfakes” or “conspiracy theories”, which are empty formulas, i.e. these are not serious categories that are sufficiently or undoubtedly based on applied linguistics and communication science, they can`t be segmented distinctively nor reliably operationalized. The EU is not a truth authority for human communication. The conglomerate-state-ideological neutrality of the EU is abandoned in the constellation framework of this EU AI Act. However, the EU Commission is not the guardian of the EU citizens, the Free EU-Citoyens of all nation-state EU players. This AI Act monitoring framework should be abolished again instead of being implemented nation-state-wide across the EU.
