Copper-catalyzed stereo-controllable silylation of allylic gem-dichlorides

A copper-catalyzed stereodivergent silylation of allylic gem-dichlorides was developed: ligand-free conditions gave ( Z )-vinyl chlorides, while chiral Pybox ligands enabled access to enantiopure ( E )-vinyl chlorides in high yield.
