Exploring the Coupled Coordination Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Green Finance and Digital Financial Inclusion in the Yellow River Basin

The integration of digital inclusive finance and green finance has become an important driving force to promote economic transformation, and it is of great significance to explore the coupling and coordination characteristics and influencing factors of the two for the ecological protection and industrial upgrading of the Yellow River Basin. Based on the panel data of 9 provinces (autonomous regions) in the Yellow River Basin from 2011 to 2023, this paper uses StataMP17 software to explore the coupling and coordination characteristics and influencing factors of green finance and digital inclusive finance in the Yellow River Basin by using entropy method, coupling coordination model, geographic detector and ArcGIS technology. The results show that the coupling coordination degree of the two shows an upward trend and continues to improve with the passage of time. In terms of spatial pattern, the coupling coordination degree presents the significant characteristics of “gradient differentiation, downstream leading, and upstream lagging”, forming a pyramid structure of “extreme coordination, high coordination, and moderate coordination”. The coordination relationship between digital inclusive finance and green finance is affected by the level of economic development, Internet infrastructure, innovation, environmental regulation and financial development, among which the level of economic development, the improvement of Internet infrastructure and the level of innovation are important factors to promote the coupling and coordination degree of green finance and digital inclusive finance.
