CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN THE SERVICE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF CLAY-BASED CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS
The production of traditional clay-based products faces numerous challenges at the global level. In addition, they are one of the basic materials used in construction. The paper presents possible improvements in production: optimal use of natural mineral resources, use of waste materials, reduction of energy consumption and use of green energy, reduction of emissions hazardous to health and the environment, reduction of CO2 emissions, analysis of the impact of products on the environment, reclamation of deposits, etc. The key parameters to pay attention to are related to the brick industry's significant contribution to global CO2 emissions, mainly due to energy-intensive production processes and the usage of non-renewable energy sources. Key areas of development include the transition to "green" energy and the use of artificial intelligence to monitor and optimize production. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of the brick industry and offers recommendations for future research and innovation to promote environmental sustainability.
