Microsurgery: The Pinnacle of Precision in Periodontics
Abstract Periodontology is advancing through microsurgical techniques that enhance patient outcomes by improving wound closure and minimizing tissue trauma. The use of surgical microscopes has increased precision and illumination for periodontists. This review examines the role of magnification and microsurgical instruments in periodontology, highlighting their applications, benefits, and challenges. Although still emerging, periodontal microsurgery demonstrates significant potential but requires advanced skill and practice due to its technique sensitivity.
